differences between healthy and non-healthy tissue. What Salomon discovered was that there were several types of
breast cancer. 4 An amazing discovery for
that time period! Salomon did publish
his findings in 1913, but oddly enough
never used x-ray in his medical practice.
The fight against breast cancer has a
long way to go and I am not sure I will
see a cure in my life time. We do know
this much, though: imaging will continue to play a vital role in the diagnosis and
treatment of this disease that is not confined to the month of October.
